CHENNAI: The state government has issued an order constituting a technical committee comprising representatives of Guidance Tamil Nadu and the nodal officers of departments to review inter-departmental issues in the functioning of the single window portal.
The committee will be led by managing director and chief executive officer of Guidance Tamil Nadu as chairman. Executive director of Guidance Tamil Nadu will be the member-secretary. The system integrator of single window portal and the nodal officer of the government departments would be members, said an order issued by chief secretary V Irai Anbu.
The government also put in place an operating mechanism for the effective functioning of the single window portal.
The state government operates a single window portal ( in its bid to improve ‘ease of doing business environment’ in the state and in accordance with the requirements of the Union government’s department for promotion of industry and internal trade. The portal offers time-bound and transparent delivery of all government to business (G2B) services through a single platform across 40 government departments/agencies.
Guidance Tamil Nadu under the industries department is the nodal agency for the implementation of single window portal.
